Book Pamela

Book Pamela for a speaking engagement if you seek what many have found her to be:

refreshing, innovative
multi-faceted, insightful
extremely original
inspirational

Whether you are the principal of a high school, the coordinator of professional events, social gatherings, public affairs radio programs, or executive staff carrying out government initiatives for community and environmental benefit, Pamela creates an inclusive environment, one that connects participants to significant aspects of our shared human experience.

With her characteristic sensitivity, wit, and self-revelation Pamela takes us on a linguistic ride through complex emotional terrain.

~Judith Waldman, Psychotherapist

Here’s what teens at a University of Washington Writing Program had to say about their experience of Pamela’s recent guest author appearance:

…the way you are not afraid to portray your emotion inspires me to do the same in my writing…I love your poems and songs…I really admired the beautiful language, concise dialogue, your many identities…makes me think more about closely paying attention to detail, flow and rhythm, how powerful metaphor can be…I love how your work felt deeply personal and private, yet really relatable and attractive…made me instantly connect and pay attention…you and your characters’ journeys gave me inspiration for my own and provided a powerful meditation on the self…

…while Sackett makes us laugh and cry intermittently, she bends deep into our psyche, whispering the truth…

~Christina Roux, teacher (language arts, french, history)

Pamela’s presentations run from sixty to ninety minutes and include a Q & A with the audience. Her material is drawn from literary and theatrical books she authored and songs she composed. With her art, Pamela addresses subtle facets of identity, perception, trust, roles and relationships, self-knowledge, fear and freedom of expression. Attentive to the finer points within the heart of the matter, Pamela introduces her concepts of mutual inclusivity, feeling favoritism vs. feeling equity and the narrative inherent in brain imperatives. Her material is entertainingly thought-provoking and edifying for the fostering and facilitating of self-awareness and communication (aka emotion literacy advocacy).
